Summary of the event:
This Op ASCEND event will help veterans and their families understand how military experience translates into civilian careers in manufacturing and logistics. The event is also open to Service leavers and reservists who are exploring their next career opportunities. Throughout the day, you’ll gain strategic and practical insights from Forces-friendly employers who are actively recruiting in the Manufacturing and Logistics sectors.

Please note that at present, Google/ Apple maps will direct you to the entrance of our old campus. Please follow the Dadford Road, to the roundabout, and follow the road back around to the Gatehouse of the AMRTC.
On arrival, please check in at our Gatehouse, where security will ask for your details and direct you to the Building 2 Parking. Once you have parked, please make your way to our Building 2 Entrance where you will be greeted by our concierge team.
It is recommended, where possible, to car share as onsite parking is limited. Some guests may need to park at Silverstone Museum.
Photographic I.D. may be required upon arrival.

If you are being driven via taxi to AMRTC, please follow the arrival procedure to the Gatehouse. The drop off point is at the Main Entrance.
If you are travelling to us via train, Milton Keynes is the closest train station.

Photography during your visit to AMRTC is strictly prohibited within the operational areas of our campus.
You will be permitted to take photographs on arrival to our Front of House only.
Please note that photography and filming will take place during the event for internal and external communications. If you would prefer not to be captured, please let a member of the team know on arrival.
Smart, casual clothing is permitted on your visit to AMRTC. We politely request that you do not wear rival team wear on your visit with us.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere other than the dedicated smoking area within the AMRTC staff car park.
Please ask your host for further location information, if required.
On discovering a Fire:
Raise the alarm by operating the nearest fire alarm call point
Report the details and location of the fire to your host
Exit the building via the nearest available exit whilst remaining safe
Report to the fire assembly point located in the car park, with your host
On hearing the fire alarm (Continuous bell ringing)
Leave the building by the nearest safe available exit
Stay with your host and report to the fire assembly point, located in the car park
The health, safety and well-being of our visitors is of our highest priority, please do not leave your host/s during your visit with us.
Please do not enter any areas that you have not been authorised to do so, and please be mindful that this is a live working manufacturing environment.
Please note, depending on the timing of your visit, it may be that certain areas within our premises are not accessible for confidentiality and/or health & safety reasons but such areas will be kept to a minimum.
There are areas within the campus where PPE is required. If you are required to wear PPE, your host will advise you and make the necessary arrangements.
Should you require first aid for any reason, please ensure you make your host aware of the situation, arrangements for first aid treatment will then be made.
EMF are present in manufacturing areas which can be harmful to pacemakers and other sensitive medical equipment.
